The service
ScamShield AI provides an AI-powered fraud detection service for Indian businesses, covering email, UPI/payment screenshots, URLs, voice, and WhatsApp-forwarded content. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. The service is provided “as-is” and is intended as a supplementary security tool, not a replacement for human judgement or professional cybersecurity advice.
We make no guarantee that every fraud attempt will be detected. Our ensemble model achieves accuracy of 91% to 99% across fraud categories, but sophisticated attacks may bypass detection. Always verify unusual payment requests through a second channel.
Free trial
The 30-day free trial provides full access to your selected plan. No credit card is required. At the end of the trial, a 7-day grace period begins: your account remains active but a payment request is sent. After the grace period, your account enters read-only mode until payment is received. You are never charged automatically.
Billing & payments
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Current pricing: Starter ₹1,499/mo + 18% GST, Professional ₹2,999/mo + 18% GST. All prices are invoiced GST-compliant. Payment collection is not yet active while our banking and payment gateway setup is being finalised. Paid plans are not currently being billed; active accounts continue on trial terms during this period. We will notify all customers by email before payment collection begins, with instructions on how to pay (NEFT bank transfer and/or Razorpay, once each is live).
Annual plans are non-refundable after 30 days (see Refund Policy). Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Acceptable use
You may not use ScamShield AI to:
- Scan email accounts, WhatsApp numbers, or other communications you do not own or have explicit authorisation to monitor
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell our fraud detection models, taxonomy, or underlying data
- Use the service, its outputs, or any data derived from it to train or improve a competing fraud detection or scam-classification product
- Circumvent the TOTP MFA requirement or other security controls
- Share API keys or account credentials with unauthorised parties
- Upload content you do not have the legal right to submit for analysis
We may investigate and take appropriate legal action, including without limitation reporting to and cooperating with law enforcement, for any violation of these Terms.
Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in the ScamShield AI platform, including our fraud detection models, taxonomy, source code, trademarks, and any aggregated or anonymised data derived from the service, remain the exclusive property of ScamShield AI Private Limited. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. You retain all rights to the content you submit for scanning; you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide and improve the service, subject to our Privacy Policy.
Confidentiality
Each party agrees to protect the other's confidential information (including, on our side, your business and account data, and on your side, our fraud detection methodology, models, and non-public product information) using at least the same care it uses for its own confidential information, and not to disclose it to third parties except as required to provide the service, comply with law, or as otherwise permitted under these Terms.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ScamShield AI Private Limited, its directors, and employees harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising from:
(a) your breach of these Terms, including unauthorised scanning of email accounts, WhatsApp numbers, or other communications you do not own or have explicit authorisation to monitor;
(b) your misuse of the service or its outputs;
(c) any decision you make or fail to make based on a ScamShield AI verdict, where you did not independently verify a flagged transaction through a second channel as recommended in these Terms, including acting on a false negative (a scam we failed to flag) without your own reasonable diligence;
(d) if you are a CA firm or similar multi-entity customer, any claim brought against us by your end-client arising from your use of, or reliance on, our platform on that end-client's behalf; you are responsible for your own contractual relationship with your clients, and we are not a party to it;
(e) any GSTIN, GST notice, or income tax correspondence verdict you rely on for a regulatory, tax, or compliance decision without independent confirmation through the relevant government portal; our verification is a fraud-detection aid and not a substitute for official government confirmation; and
(f) your use of any API access, webhooks, or exported reports in a manner that violates these Terms or applicable law, including sharing outputs with parties who have no legitimate need for them.
This indemnification does not apply to claims arising from our own gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or material breach of these Terms.
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every fraud attempt.
Limitation of liability
ScamShield AI's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 3 months. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation does not apply to a party's indemnification obligations, breach of confidentiality, or liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform any obligation under these Terms (other than payment obligations) due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government action, internet or power infrastructure failures, or failures of third-party services we depend on (e.g. Google, Meta, Azure, Razorpay).
Suspension and termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms with 7 days' notice, or immediately for serious violations such as unauthorised access attempts, non-payment beyond the grace period, or activity that poses a security risk to us or other customers. On termination, data is deleted per our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify active customers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
Dispute resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement. The arbitration shall be conducted in English. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking interim injunctive relief from a competent court where necessary.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to the arbitration clause above. Where court proceedings are necessary (e.g. interim relief), the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
